Led a near-shore team in the successful recovery and ongoing development of a critical factory floor monitoring application. We removed an unsuccessful rewrite, and restored and developed an established Ruby on Rails application. Served as the team lead and developer as well as the on-site client liaison and occasional project manager.

Led exploration meetings to discover the details of the client’s infrastructure. Assisted the initial estimation team by providing domain expertise and sharing gained knowledge.

Established agile ceremonies for the team including sprints and planning, estimation exercises, and daily standups. Built a work breakdown structure for the project, created corresponding stories in JIRA , and organized the work into sprints and epics to build timelines aligned to expected milestones.

Identified deprecated and missing integration points with external applications. Implemented these components in multiple other languages including Rust, Bash, Python, and cmd.exe.

Designed, planned, and developed an additional dashboard for monitoring and validating machine production rates. Created technical design documents, a work breakdown structure, provided story estimates, and was the sole application developer.

Heartline: Designed and implemented end-of-study features. Assessed and planned dependency and infrastructure upgrades for the application. Migrated deployment from Jenkins to Github Actions.

Pi Project: Implemented repeated survey functionality for Pi, as well as other surveys and messaging features of the application.

Consumer Team: designed and led the development of Patient Reported Outcomes, a framework used to power repeating surveys used in multiple client engagements. Diagnosed and fixed an email configuration that led to 500% improvement in throughput.
